Rock gridders win second straight, 28-18 at Millersville

Millersville, Pa. - The Rock defense forced six turnovers and senior running back Brandon Markus had 158 yards and two touchdowns to lead SRU past Millersville 28-18 in PSAC play on Saturday.

The win improves Slippery Rock's record to 2-1 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference play, and 3-4 overall.

Total offense for The Rock amounted to 241 yards. The Rock QB Chad DeVore was 7 of 17 passing for 75 yards and three interceptions in the win. Millersville QB Dan Csencsitz set a school record for number of completions, completing 35 of 50 attempts for 294 yards and three touchdowns to lead Millersville in scoring.

The Rock returns to PSAC-Western Division action next Saturday, as it travels to Edinboro University to take on the Fighting Scots at 1 p.m.
