Slippery Rock University Athletics

Senior running back Shamar Greene was dominant from start to finish for Slippery Rock in its 31-28 season-opening victory over New Haven, racking up 162 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries, an average of 7.1 yards per touch. Included in that effort was the longest run of his career, a 71-yard touchdown early in the game. He is now just 17 yards away from breaking the all-time career rushing record at SRU.
