Slippery Rock University Athletics

Sam Taylor won the javelin for the second year in a row to lead the Slippery Rock University women's outdoor track and field team at the Adidas Raleigh Relays that took place Friday and Saturday at North Carolina State University. Taylor successfully defended her title in dominant fashion by winning the javelin with an NCAA provisional qualifying throw of 45.33 meters. (148' 8") Her effort was nearly two meters (6' 4") better than the second place thrower from Division I Boston College.
