Slippery Rock University Athletics

The Slippery Rock University women's indoor track and field team saw Jasmine Bailey break the all-time conference record in the 400-meter dash to lead The Rock on day two of the Youngstown State National Invite Saturday. Bailey, who broke the eight-year old Slippery Rock record in the 400m last weekend, shattered her own school record and ran the fastest 400m time of any woman in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference history Saturday afternoon. She took second place to a Division I runner with a time of 55.49 seconds. Her time shattered the previous all-time best in the PSAC of 56.27 seconds, set by Lock Haven's Jennifer Farrow in 2003.
 
Bailey's mark is an NCAA provisional qualifier and currently ranks as the ninth fastest recorded by any runner in Division II this season.
