Slippery Rock University Athletics

Sabrina Anderson won the pentathlon and hit a pair of NCAA Division II provisional qualifying marks to lead the Slippery Rock University men's and women's indoor track and field team at the Mike Kowal Multi Event Invitational Saturday on the campus of Edinboro University.
 
Anderson totaled 3,624 points in the pentathlon, 440 points more than any other competitor and a provisional qualifying total by over 396 points. Anderson earned the victory with impressive performances in all five events. She tallied a 1.66 meter mark in the high jump, which was also a provisional mark. Anderson also posted a trio of Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference championship qualifying marks by running the 60-meter hurdles in 9.33 seconds, tallying an 11.17 mark in the shot pot and leaping 5.27 meters in the long jump. She concluded her weekend by running the 800-meter dash in 2:26.60. She currently ranks second in the nation in the pentathlon and 10th in the high jump.
