Junior running back Shamar Greene helped lead Slippery Rock to a 41-39 win over Assumption College in the second round of the NCAA Playoffs last week. Greene rushed for 160 yards and one touchdown and also catching a 21-yard pass. Greene suffered an undisclosed injury in the third quarter and did not play in the fourth quarter. He has now rushed for 314 yards and three TD in two playoff games this year and now has 1,476 yards this season, the third most in a single-season in school history, despite missing two full games and the second half of another earlier this year. Greene also moved up to No. 2 all-time in career rushing at SRU and now has 3,685 yards.
