Slippery Rock University Athletics

Slippery Rock led to a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Atlantic Region championships by sophomore Jeremy Parsons, who completed the 10,000-meter course in 30:46.4 to finish in sixth place overall and qualify for the 2015 NCAA National Championship race Nov. 21 in Joplin, Missouri. Parsons is the first Rock runner to qualify for the national meet since Jeff Weiss and Pat Reagan both qualified in 2008.
 
In addition to qualifying for the national championship event, Parsons also earned all-region honors for finishing in the top 25. He has now earned back-to-back all-region honors in his young career.
