Burns was outstanding in her first collegiate track and field meet, posting NCAA provisional qualifying marks in each of her events. She won the triple jump at the Youngstown State Icebreaker with a leap of 11.74 meters and also hit the provisional mark in the long jump with a leap of 5.61 meters.
