SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University field hockey team has announced dates for a spring clinic and its annual Nike Field Hockey Camp this summer.
The Rock will welcome players between the ages of 10-18 for a one-day clinic April 28 at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium and will also welcome girls of the same age for a four-day camp July 31 to Aug. 3.
The spring clinic in April is scheduled to run from noon until 4 p.m. with registration beginning at 11:30 a.m. The cost for each participant is $50 if pre-registered by April 1 and $60 after April 1.
The clinic will be run by Slippery Rock head coach
Julie Swiney and assistant coach Maribeth Brozena, along with members of the current team.
The four-day camp this summer will feature an overnight option for players wishing to stay on campus and will also feature an extended day option for players that wish to be dropped off in the mornings and picked up in the evenings each day.
The cost for each overnight camper is $470 and the cost for each extended day camper is $370 dollars. Both options require a $270 payment at the time of registration, with $250 serving as a deposit and a $20 non-refundable registration fee.
The overnight fee includes all field hockey instruction, on-campus housing and all meals in the dining hall. The extended day fee includes all instruction and lunch and dinner each day.
