SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University women's basketball team has announced plans to host a pair of youth clinics this semester for boys and girls between kindergarten and eighth grade.

The clinics, which will take place in the spring and summer seasons, are being called Spring Fling and Summer Slam Youth Clinics.

The Spring Fling Youth Clinic is scheduled for Sunday, April 22 from 1-4 p.m., while the Summer Slam Youth Clinic is set for Wednesday, July 18 from 1-4 p.m. Both clinics will take place at Morrow Field House.

The cost for each clinic is $25 per child. Included in the registration is instruction from the current Slippery Rock University women's basketball team and coaching staff, a pizza party and an autograph session.

Head coach Tanya Longo was happy to have such a great turnout for last semester's Haunted Hoops and Holiday Hoops clinics. “We were looking for a way to keep the kids in the community involved and excited about basketball and I think these sessions are a great way to do that,” said Longo.
