Rocky returns!
An enthusiastic crowd greeted the venerable Pride of The Rock when it rolled back onto campus Wednesday night after being conspicuously absent for the past few months
Rocky, that venerable Pride of the Rock, rolled back onto the SRU campus on Wednesday and made its first public appearance in several months during halftime of the men's basketball game vs. California U. of Pa. in Morrow Field House.
Conspicuously missing from campus activities for the past several months, Rocky reportedly had been working with a personal trainer at a Rocky Mountain resort.
The efforts were very noticeable as Rocky displayed a chiseled physique and a well-developed a set of rock-hard abs.
"I hate to kick a rock when it's down," said one source that spoke on the condition of anonymity, "but Rocky was really in a slide before he went to the mountains. I'm not saying it hit rock bottom, but it was suffering the effects of too many helpings of rock candy, fruity pebbles and rock and rye soda."
Rocky's routine at the mountain resort was said to have included daily rock and roll exercises and a diet of broiled rock bass and slippery greens.
"Rocky looks great," the source said after seeing the new and improved Rocky on Wednesday. "Like a real rock star. People are going to love that Rocky is the Pride of the Rock."
When it's not working on its physique and abs, Rocky enjoys watching "Flintstones" reruns, visiting Cape Canaveral for NASA rocket launchs and climbing rocks.
