Rock drops final regular season match to the Indiana Hoosiers 13-5

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa.- The Rock closed out its 2008 home schedule Sunday with a 13-5 loss to the 17th-ranked Indiana Hoosiers in a Collegiate Water Polo Association Western Division match in the Morrow Field House pool.

The Rock scoring attack was lead by Ashley Goodwill and Beth Choike, who each scored two goals. Sarah Sander scored The Green and White's fifth and final goal.

In addition to their goals, Goodwill, Choike and Sander all had three forced kickouts.

Saturday's loss dropped The Rock's overall record to 3-14 and its Collegiate Water Polo Association Western Division mark to 1-6.

Indiana is now 18-13 overall and 5-1 in CWPA West competition.

The Rock is now idle until April 18, when it will open CWPA Western Division playoff action at Grove City.

SRU will probably be the seventh seed in the tournament.
