GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Beth Choike scored three goals and had five caused kickouts Friday night to lead The Rock effort in a 22-5 loss to the 18th-ranked Indiana Hoosiers in opening-round action of the Collegiate Water Polo Association Western Division tournament at Grove City College.
The Rock will now face Washington & Jefferson in a 10:15 a.m. consolation-bracket game Saturday.
A win over W&J would move SRU into the fifth-place game at 4:30 p.m. Saturday while a loss Saturday morning would drop the Green and White into the 3:15 p.m. seventh-place game.
The Rock is seeded seventh in the eight-team tournament.
Heather Walbright scored the other two Rock goals Friday night and also had three assists and a caused kickout.
