Wade Acker (1985) played wide receiver for Rock football from 1982-1985.
During his time playing, Acker was a four-time All-PSAC and All-District selection. He was also a 1985 All-America honoree.
In 41 games, Acker had 125 receptions for 2,203 yards and 19 touchdowns. For his career, Acker averaged 17.6 yards per catch and 53.7 yards per game. A dynamic special teams threat, Acker returned 43 kicks for 1,032 yards and two touchdowns.
Acker ranks fourth in Rock football history in touchdown receptions, fourth in receiving yards, sixth in receptions and ninth in all-purpose yards (3,696).
Acker was a part of three winning seasons at The Rock. SRU was 24-16 during Acker’s career.
