Troy Mild (1984) was a standout basketball player for The Rock. During his four-year career he averaged 17.9 points per game, shot .489% from the field, and grabbed 7.7 rebounds per game. He also led the team in total steals in his junior and senior seasons with 88 (1.7 per game). Mild averaged a career high 21.6 points per game (first on the team) in his senior season while also averaging a career high in rebounds with 8.4 per game (second on the team).
 
Mild left SRU as its all-time leading scorer with 1,851 points and was also top ten in total rebounds with 792. He earned third-team All-America honors in his senior season after being chosen the district small-college Player of the Year. He started 78 consecutive games and scored in double figures 59 straight games on teams that went to the PSAC Final Four two times.
