Milan Tatala (1935) was a standout basketball and football player for The Rock. He was a three-year starter on the basketball team. He was also quarterback on the football team, leading the team to their undefeated mark in 1933.
After graduating from The Rock, Tatala became a physical education teacher and coach at Stowe High School (which later became Sto-Rox). He was the head basketball coach from 1952-1976, compiling an overall record of 413-94 and leading Sto-Rox to 11 section titles. Tatala was also an assistant football coach at Sto-Rox for 17 seasons, and a Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association football official for 41 years.
Tatala is a member of the Western Pennsylvania Basketball Coaches and Sto-Rox Hall of Fame.
