Linda Derk (1987) was a standout athlete in both softball and basketball during her time at The Rock.

Derk was team captain of the 1986-87 PSAC Championship winning team that competed in NCAA regional Tournament.

Derk also played softball from 1983-87, starting in 17 games in ‘87 and hitting .271 with 12 RBI.

After Slippery Rock, Derk coached at all levels of softball and became the Admiral Farragut Academy Head Coach in St. Petersburg, Florida. She was also the Associate Athletic Director at Admiral Farragut Academy.
