Charles L. Klausing (1948) was a two-year starter and co-captain of the Rock football team in 1946-47.
Following graduation, Klausing began a coaching career that would take him through both the high school and collegiate levels. Klausing coached football at Pitcairn High School, Braddock High School, and Kiksi Prep (Pa).
Klausing was also an assistant coach at Rutgers, Army, West Virginia, and Pittsburgh.
As a head coach at the collegiate level, Klausing led Indiana (Pa) from 1964-69. During his time at IUP, they won two PSAC Western Division titles. Klausing then went on to coach at Carnegie Mellon from 1976-85.
Klausing finished his college coaching career with a record of 123-26-2 and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1998.
