Carol DeVenzio (1965) was a three-sport star at SRU. She played guard for three years for the women’s basketball team and was inner for the field hockey team. She also played two seasons of doubles for the tennis team.

After graduating from SRU, DeVenzio went on to coach the Mars High School girls’ basketball team until 1996. In their 1976-77 season, Mars went 27-1, and finished second in the state. In 2014, that team was inducted into the Butler County Hall of Fame.
