Bob Petrini (1983) has been rated as the top distance runner in SRU history. He twice was an NCAA Division II runner-up in cross country and also earned All-America recognition on The Rock track and field team. He won a pair of PSAC titles and was a regional cross country champion during his senior season. He also earned Academic All-America recognition.
